The RGS Series

The Regenerative Grid Simulator RGS Series is a high power density ‘2-in-1’ grid simulator and optional 4 quadrant load, designed for the testing and verification of all grid-tied applications. This unit boasts up to 21kVA in a 4U chassis and fits into any standard 19″ rack.

Emulate almost any grid condition and test to global regulatory compliance standards such as IEEE 1547, UL 1741, IEC 61000-3, IEC 61000-4, and more. The RLS Grid Simulator can verify the AC product performance while the optional AC DC Load is ideal for simulating any inductive, capacitive, or resistive load for a complete solution.

A single constant power voltage range for both higher current at lower voltage and higher voltages at lower currents eliminating the need to switch between voltage ranges. The diagram to the right illustrates the RGS’s capability to provide 20% more current from 120V to 200V when compared to a typical unit that maxes out at 35A/phase.
